Sara Hawthorn, clinic owner and massage practitioner
Sara began her career in therapy in 2007 prompted by a back injury which left her with severe and constant back pain and a weakened right arm. Extensive massage therapy treatments improved her mobility and drastically reduced her pain. She found the treatments so beneficial she enrolled in York College to study a VTCT in Swedish Body Massage. From there she went on to add a series of other qualifications and start her own business as a massage therapist.
In 2015 she brought her successful York practice to Leeds and set up in the beautiful surroundings of Bramley Baths with the aim of making massage therapy more accessible and encouraging the use of massage as a preventative and maintenance option rather than a last-resort. Sara has a wealth of experience working with a wide range of conditions and her own background gives her a profound understanding of the negative impact chronic pain and limited mobility can have on physical and mental well-being.
