Regular clients will know that we always offer water after a massage treatment and recommend drinking plenty of water at least for the next 24 hours. But what we also advise is not to drink too much alcohol after a treatment.
Whilst a wee glass of wine might not have any impact a few pints or the rest of the bottle could leave you feeling far worse than you’d expect. The hangover from hell.
However, this also works the other way in that having a massage treatment whilst hungover is not recommended for very similar reasons. It can extend the life of your hangover, worsen nausea and sometimes make you more dehydrated if you don’t consume enough water after the massage.
So, if you’re planning a night out, some relaxing time with friends or anything which will likely involve a considerable amount of booze – our advice is don’t book a massage the morning after!
